Career Opportunities at Blue Sky Finance

Gareth M:
"
My love affair with sales started in 1999, still wet behind the ears, straight out of college and looking to start earning a salary. I started a part time role on a time-share selling job for a basic of £5,000 per year, I was hooked; speaking to customers getting the most out of the little data I had to get my income up to about £10,000 per year. Then another sales job came up in 2000 for a more professional organisation, bringing me a regular full time income of about £12,000 per year. I then met my partner and moved into a rented house in 2001, this was the life. 2002 came with the need for more money and the chance to get this with a call centre in Cwmbran. The money was the same but the career opportunities where massive. It was a chance to do something with my life and a new challenge. I consistently excelled my targets and carried on doing this until 2005.

The news came from a phone call from my partner "Gareth we’re having a Baby" I was on cloud 9, perfect. Then two months later the company I was working for declared that they had money troubles and couldn’t pay our wages, I was devastated. What was I going to do? After a few weeks of actively looking for a job, panicking and worrying, unsure whether I could support my family, a bid from Yes Loans Ltd was accepted and my future had been sealed. Within a week my skills had been noticed and I was promoted; £19,500 a year helping people to become as good as I was.

Then an opportunity came about six months ago, to become a Senior Underwriter for Bluesky Personal Finance. It’s the same basic money as I was on, but the earning potential in bonus is endless. I started in my new team in May 2007 and have consistently exceeded my targets. The people here are great, giving support in a very busy and hugely rewarding business. I have earned more in the last 6 months than in over a year at my previous role and I am on course to earn in excess of £40,000 this year. Its been like a dream come true, what with my son growing up so fast and needing more nappies than a crèche! (He’s nearly two now), I certainly need the money. My life has changed drastically and for the better. I’ve always got money, my son has a savings account which will give him a house of his own when he’s 18 and I expect to earn in excess of £50,000 next year. What more can I say life’s perfect.
